Schedule wording:

Blair Castle Ridden Clydesdale Series: This class is a qualifier for the Ridden Clydesdale Championship to be held at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials & Country Fair on Sunday 27th August 2023. The first two in each class to qualify. Qualification may go down to fourth place, if horses placed 1st and 2nd have previously qualified. Registered Clydesdales and those eligible for registration may qualify and enter for the Championship.

Blair Castle BSPS Training Stakes Championships

Two classes/sections:

TRAINING STAKES – 70cm
• Animals 4yrs old or over. Riders any age.
• Maximum height of fences 70cm

TRAINING STAKES – 80cm
• Animals 4yrs old or over. Riders any age.
• Maximum height of fences 80cm

Run under BSPS rules.  Shows need to be affiliated to BSPS to hold a Qualifier.

These classes are open to plaited animals and heritage M&M ponies.  Maximum height of horse 158cm.

Animals will be required to jump a course of fences, they will immediately be asked to give a short show including a change of rein and gallop in the same ring. Marks are allocated as follows: Jumping – 60 points, Style and Manners while jumping – 20 points, Show Mark and Manners – 20 points.

Blair Castle BSPS Training Stakes Series: Ponies placed first & second in the above classes will qualify for the Championships held at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials & Country Fair on Thursday 24th August 2023. Qualification may go down to fourth place if higher placed ponies have previously qualified – only those who have jumped a clear round can qualify.
