RBC Brewin Dolphin in the saddle for this year’s event

Leading wealth manager RBC Brewin Dolphin today (Monday 29th May) confirmed its sponsorship of Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials. This is an exciting new sponsorship for Scotland’s highest profile equestrian event.

With origins dating back to 1762, RBC Brewin Dolphin is a client-focused business focused on helping private clients, family offices and institutions plan and shape their financial futures by protecting, growing and managing their money. As part of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), RBC Brewin Dolphin draws on the strength of a global financial institution to enhance the service they provide to clients whilst driving innovation across the business.

Aligning with Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials continues RBC Brewin Dolphin’s long-standing relationship with equestrian events, including the renowned Burghley Horse Trials. This new sponsorship agreement includes branding a high-profile cross country fence along with branding, advertising and member hospitality.

Commenting on the new sponsorship, Johnny McGlynn, head of Edinburgh office at RBC Brewin Dolphin, said: “We are proud to be supporting Scotland’s leading equestrian event. We have a strong passion and tradition of supporting sport in Scotland and are delighted to be announcing our partnership with this year’s trials.

“We are a relationships business, whether that’s with our clients or our communities, those relationships and our people are at the heart of our ability to make a real difference. For 30 years we have been helping individuals and businesses in Scotland to achieve their financial goals. With offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee, we look forward to joining in on the action at Blair Castle.”

Andrew Bruce Wootton, CEO of Atholl Estates, added: “We are extremely proud to welcome such a prestigious and respected organisation as RBC Brewin Dolphin on board for our 33rd annual Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials.

“The Event is unlike any other in Scotland. It goes beyond equestrian eventing and offers something for all ages. It is with great thanks to the sponsors, traders and thousands of visitors who support us each year that we can deliver what is undoubtedly one of the most successful equestrian events in Scotland. We look forward to building a successful partnership with RBC Brewin Dolphin.”
