Persie Gin Distillery

Located at the foot of Glenshee in Highland Perthshire, Persie Distillery is hand-crafted in small batches in – ironically – a former stables! It is the first dedicated gin distillery to be awarded brown sign status by Visit Scotland and has been publicly recognised as a star-rated destination on the Scottish tourist map.

There are five award-winning full-strength expressions – Zesty Citrus Gin, Herby & Aromatic Gin and Sweet & Nutty Old Tom Gin form the Distillery Originals range, while the charity ‘dog gins’ range includes Labrador Gin, Spaniel Gin and also a liqueur called Dachshund Gin. Each ‘dog gin’ has been designed to reflect the individual breed and, for every bottle sold, £1 is donated to PADS dog rescue charity to help rescue and rehome unwanted dogs. Similarly, the distillery has introduced a premium unflavoured vodka to their range. Called Pusscat, it is raising money for cat rescue through donations to Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home.

Simon Fairclough, distiller and managing director, explains: “Signing up to become the official drinks sponsor for Blair Horse Trials is a perfect fit for us. It is local, committed to animal welfare, and has a strong focus on charitable giving. That’s what drives our team at Persie Distillery and we are proud to be a partner.”

Persie Gin is proudly hosting a charity ‘Gin & Fizz’ evening Friday during the horse trials. See our NEWS post and click here to purchase your tickets.
