Macmillan Cancer Support are delighted to be chosen as the charity partner for the Blair Castle International Horse Trials 2023.
Macmillan is here to do whatever it takes to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can; emotionally, physically and financially. Cancer is personal, and everyone, regardless of who and where they are, deserves high quality care that helps them, as well as treating their cancer. Personalised care is a lifeline, not a luxury, but not everyone gets the support they need.
Right now, there are more than 3 million people in the UK living with cancer, and that number is set to grow. The number of people being diagnosed with cancer is rising and more people are surviving cancer than ever before, so it is essential that we continue to support people living with cancer at every stage of their experience.
This means the nature of cancer care itself needs to adapt and evolve to meet the rapidly changing needs of people living with cancer. Existing support services are struggling to cope and we need to act now to prevent a crisis in cancer care. That’s why, at Macmillan, we give people with cancer everything we’ve got.
If you’re diagnosed, we’re in your corner from day one and we will move mountains for you. Because your worries are our worries.
We’ll hold your hand through treatment. Help you pay the fares to hospital and fight for fair treatment for you. If you can’t work, we’ll help you with the bills, if you can’t sleep we’ll find someone you can talk to, if you need a voice we will speak out for you.
We are so grateful that the Blair Castle International Horse Trials will be raising money to provide vital cancer services and we can’t wait to be part of this iconic event.
