The Event, includes the Horse Trials, Course Walks and any other associated events and activities where applicable.

Data Protection
In order to process your booking, we process ‘personal data’ within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in accordance with our Privacy Notice. Copies of the Privacy Notice can also be obtained from the Estate Manager at Atholl Estates Office, Blair Atholl, Pitlochry, Perthshire PH18 5TH.
Notwithstanding the other provisions of these terms and conditions and Privacy Notice the details of each booker will be retained for 14 days from the date of the Event and if required will be shared with the NHS Test and Protect contact tracing service.
The Organisers will not use or pass on your personal details without your express permission unless required in order to fulfil our contract with you, or allowed by law. We will never sell your contact information.
When you place your order, you will be asked whether or not you wish to receive details on future events and services from Blair Castle and Atholl Estates
Children
Children 12 years and under may enter the Event free of charge when accompanying a paying adult. Children are also allowed into the Members enclosure, when accompanying an adult member.
Disabled Visitors
Visitors with a disability are still required to purchase admission tickets. A carer ticket can be issued free of charge by calling 01796 481 543
Blue badge holders should go to Gate 2 to access the disabled car park, although forward parking is also available at Gate 1. The disabled blue vehicle badge should be shown to the car-parking attendants, who will then direct visitors to the forward parking area of the car park.
We are very grateful to Event Mobility, who provide scooters at Badminton and Burghley, amongst many other events, provide us with scooters at Blair Castle.
To reserve an electric scooter or manual wheelchair you can book online at www.eventmobility.org.uk, print out an advance booking form from the website or contact the office on 01386 725391 to request a form to be posted to you. The charity asks £30 for an electric scooter and £10 for a manual wheelchair.
Please be aware that advance bookings cannot be made by phone.
The collection point is between the main pedestrian entrance and the disabled car park.
Group Bookings
Groups of more than 10 people should contact the Horse Trials Office on +44 (0)1796 481 543 to book. Group bookings should have a ratio of no more than 6 children per paying adult.
Coaches must be booked in advance. Please contact the Organisers’ office on 01796 481 543 to request your coach parking pass. Coach parking on site is free of charge. Coaches which are not booked in will be able to drop off passengers, but may not be able to park on site.
Postage
The Organisers do not accept liability for any ‘lost in post’ claims.
Course Walks and other Associated Charity Events
Admission tickets or memberships are required for the appropriate day, in addition to the above ticket.
All those attending any alcoholic drink tasting events must be aged 18 or over. Proof of age may be requested, if you are unable to provide adequate proof of age you will not be served any alcohol and your whole party may be asked to leave. No refund will be given.
Photography and filming
By attending the Event you accept and consent (for yourself and on behalf of any animal or children in your care) that you/they may appear in photographs and videos of the Event, which may be used in printed material, websites and social media accounts for promotion of the Event, venue and sponsors. You shall have no right to demand any payment in respect of, you, your animal’s or your children’s inclusion in any such images whether produced by the Organiser or by third parties authorised by the Organiser.
If you would like us to remove a photograph or video of you from our website, social media accounts or future promotional material, please email the Organisers at info@blairhorsetrials.co.uk including your name and a link or copy of the image so we can identify it.
Using photographic equipment at the Event
The use of photographic equipment must not inconvenience or endanger any other person at the Event or venue. Spectators are advised that the use of flash photography around the Arenas and on the Cross-Country Course is strictly forbidden.
Still photographs, film and other audio/visual material recorded at the Event or within the venue may not be sold or used commercially in any way whatsoever, unless authorised by the Organisers in advance.
Drones
The use of drones and other flying equipment is not allowed over Blair Castle, the castle grounds or on the wider estate unless in exceptional circumstances and with written permission. Anyone who would like to apply for permission during the Event should contact the Horse Trials Office in the first instance. info@blairhorsetrials.co.uk
Dogs
Dogs are permitted to attend the Event but must be kept on leads and under control of their owner at all times. Owners must clear up after their dogs – bags will be available at the Information Tent. Dogs must not be left in vehicles during the day.
Only assistance dogs are permitted inside the Castle.
Refunds and Exchanges
No duplicate tickets or refunds will be issued in respect of any lost, forgotten, unused or surplus admission tickets, memberships or campsite passes.
The Organisers reserve the right to vary the content of the Event without being obliged to refund monies, or exchange tickets. Further, the Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission to the Event to any person or to withdraw permission at any time to remain in the grounds, and shall not be required to give any reason for such action. No re-admission is permitted and tickets are non-transferable.
Re-sale of tickets
Where a ticket is offered for re-sale in line with these terms and conditions, you must provide to the buyer full details of the ticket, including the date of admission(s). Buyers must also be made aware of these terms and conditions and any other terms and conditions that are specific to the Event. Tickets must not be resold at greater than their face value. Should it be required by the Event’s own procedures, the buyer must provide their contact details to the Organisers.
Ticket Cancellation
The Organisers reserve the right to cancel any ticket bookings and refund monies paid. This includes but is not limited to bookings which the Organisers believe to have fraudulently used discounts or special offers.
Abandonment
In the event of abandonment of the Event, advanced ticket holders may be entitled to a refund or partial refund depending on the duration which the Event has been open to the public.
In the event of abandonment any such refund shall only be made after consultation with the Event insurers. In the case of abandonment, all applications for refunds must be made in writing to the Horse Trials Office. Refunds shall only be made to the person who purchased the ticket(s) or membership(s) and, whenever possible, be made using the same method as was used to purchase the ticket(s) or membership(s).
Disclaimer of Liability
Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the Organisers, Blair Castle Estate Ltd, British Eventing Ltd, nor any Agent, sponsor, employee or representative of these bodies accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, owners, grooms, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.
The Organisers advise that due to uneven and in parts, steep terrain of the Event site; it may be at times difficult for spectators to move around freely and easily. As a result of which it may not be suitable for those who suffer certain medical conditions. All spectators enter the Event at their own risk and are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing for the conditions.

Camping Specific Terms & Conditions
Camping pitches should be purchased in advance. Camping pitch tickets do not include admission to the Event. Event admission tickets or memberships should be purchased through the Box Office.
Campers should bring their Camping e-ticket to exchange for wristbands for each member of their group with the Campsite Manager, when they arrive.
Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian – no under-18s may camp unsupervised. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission to unaccompanied under-18s. Accompanied children aged 12 and under do not require a ticket to enter the Event
Dogs are permitted but must be kept on leads when on the campsite. Owners must clear up after their dogs – bags will be available. Dogs must not be left in caravans or vehicles during the day.
Camping pitches include parking for one vehicle, in addition to a tent or caravan, as specified on the ticket. Extra vehicles will require a separate car pass and may not be located adjacent to the pitch.
Electrical hook-ups must be booked in advance and are available only for caravans, horseboxes or motorhomes. They will not be available for those camping with a tent.
Diesel generators are permitted, providing they are correctly earthed and fuel is safely stored. The Campsite Manager may check generators and remove any deemed unsafe. Generators should not be run during Quiet Hours. Petrol generators are only allowed under exceptional circumstances and must be approved in writing.
Campers are requested to respect other guests and keep noise (including generator noise) to a reasonable level – Quiet Hours will be in effect between 11pm and 7am.
Any campers repeatedly making excessive noise or behaving in an antisocial manner may be ejected from the Campsite at the Organisers’ discretion – no refunds will be given.
A rubbish skip and a chemical toilet emptying point will be provided for campers’ use. Anyone misusing these facilities or failing to use these facilities where appropriate, may be ejected from the Campsite. No refunds will be given.
VAT Receipts
If you require a VAT receipt, please email info@blairhorsetrials.co.uk with your booking reference so a VAT receipt can be emailed to you.
Covid-19
There are currently no restrictions or limitations put in place by the Scottish Government regarding Covid-19. We ask that you treat others at the event with kindness so if you are not well, please do not come to the event.
Should circumstances change, the Organisers may update these Terms & Conditions at any time, as well as issue instructions, or implement limitations or restrictions on those attending the event, which may include steps we can all take to help reduce the risk of Covid-19 to yourself and everyone else.
