Fast roads converge on Perthshire from all directions, with the M90 from Edinburgh and A9/M80 from Stirling/Glasgow providing particularly good links for travellers from the south. There are motorways and dual carriageways all the way to Perthshire from the south coast of England and the Channel ports.

Perthshire has rail links with the south through both Edinburgh and Glasgow, with some direct services from London taking less than 61/2 hours. There are stations at Gleneagles (for Auchterader), Perth, Dunkeld, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl. Most travel agents and railway stations will provide timetable information and tickets.
