| BLAIR CASTLE HORSE TRIALS TO HOST WHP
CHAMPIONSHIP
Following the success of NPS classes at the Blair Castle International
Horse Trials and Country Fair, the event organisers have announced
a Working Hunter Pony Championship on the first day of the event.
This year, Scotland’s only three-star, three day event takes
place from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th August and the WHP classes
will be on Thursday 24th, along with the ridden and working hunter
classes.
Sarah Phillips, director of the Blair Castle International Horse
Trials said, “We are delighted to announce this new championship
which will bring yet another dimension to Scotland’s leading
equestrian event.”
It will be an open championship consisting of three classes for
ponies up to 133cms, up to 143cms and up to 153cms, with qualifying
rounds taking place at 12 shows throughout Scotland from April to
July.
The first four in each class will qualify providing they have jumped
clear, while qualification may go down to sixth place if ponies
placed first to fourth have already qualified.

Mundole Spring Show - Sunday 30th April
DABBS Spring Showing Show - Sunday 30th April/1st May
Fife Show - Friday 19th May
Highland Regional Development Show - Saturday 10th June
Stirling Show - Wednesday 14th June
Burgie International Horse Trials - Saturday 17th June
Grampian RC and Keith Show - Sunday 18th June
North East of Scotland Horse Show - Sunday 2nd July
Mundole Summer Show - Sunday 9th July
Braco Show - Saturday 22nd July
Newton St Boswells and District Farmers Show - Saturday 22nd July
Turriff Show - Sunday 30th July
