The Event

Blair Castle Barclays International Horse trials is the largest and most prestigious international equestrian competition in Scotland. The Event has again been acknowledged as a major international fixture, hosting the 2011 European U21 Championships, and has been awarded the opportunity to be the venue for the 2015 senior FEI European Eventing Championships.

The International Horse Trials is far more than simply an equestrian event with the very popular Country Fair running along side the equestrian activities, over 200 trade-stands selling a huge variety of wares and many other attractions to entertain visitors during the day.
