FAQs

Please take a little time to read through the Frequently Asked Questions listed below, before making an enquiry – it may be that your query is answered here.

Opening Times

When do the gates open?
Gates open to the public at 8.30am daily, except on Saturday when they open at 8am.

What about closing times?
There is no specific closing time - it really depends when all the different competitions finish, but these begin to wrap up from around 5pm. The shopping village exhibitors will stay open as long as shoppers are around!

Tickets

When does the Box Office close for advance sales?
The box office remains open as long as we can post tickets out to you! Once it's shut, day tickets can still be purchased on the gate, but membership and season ticket sales are closed.

Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
No, all admission tickets are available on the gate. However, you will make a saving if you purchase them in advance.

What about Membership – can I buy that on the gate?
No – Memberships are only available in advance.

Do I need to buy a ticket for my child?
Accompanied children 12 years and under are admitted free of charge. Provided they are accompanied by a paying adult Member, children 12 years and under are admitted to the Murray Enclosure without additional charge.

Membership

What are the benefits of Membership over an ordinary admission ticket?
Membership also gives access to the Forward Car Park and the ringside Members' Marquee, which has full bar, café and restaurant facilities, CCTV, a ringside garden and ‘posh’ toilets. Season and Weekend Members also receive a complimentary copy of the Event Programme.

I am purchasing Membership of the event – does my Child need Membership to join me in the Murray Enclosure?
No – children can enter the Murray Enclosure when accompanied by an adult with Membership.

Parking

How much does the Car Park cost?
Car parking is £3 per day when purchased in advance, or £5 on the gate.

Disabled Facilities

Does the event have disabled facilities?
Yes - your disabled vehicle pass should be shown to the car-parking attendants, who will then direct you to the forward parking area. Disabled toilets are available adjacent to the Country Fair arena, and at the Member’s Enclosure and public catering marquee. A limited number of mobility scooters are available to borrow, courtesy of Shopmobility Perth - reservations can be made by telephoning 01796 481543.

Dogs

Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome at the event but must be kept on a secure lead at all times. Water points are located at various points around the site. Poop scoop bags are available from the Information area by the Main Arena, and we ask that owners clear up after their dogs. Dogs must not be left in cars.
