Tullibardine Open Working Hunter Pony Championships

Now including Intermediates!

The Blair Castle Tullibardine Open Working Hunter Pony Championships is a very popular competition with qualifying rounds held at shows all around Scotland.

There are now four sections, in line with BSPS rules. The series is run under BSPS rules, but is not affiliated to the BSPS (qualifying shows must also be under BSPS rules, but may or may not be affiliated to the BSPS - competitors should check with the individual shows).
1) WHP not exceeding 133cms. Riders not to have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Maximum height of fences 90cms.
2) WHP exceeding 133cms and not exceeding 143cms. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Maximum height of fences 1m.
3) WHP exceeding 143cms and not exceeding 153cms. Riders not to have attained their 20th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Maximum height of fences 1.05m.
4) Open Intermediate WHP, exceeding 148cms and not exceeding 158cms. Riders not to have attained their 25th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Maximum height of fences 1.15m.

In each qualifying class, the first four ponies will qualify for Blair, with qualification passing down the line to 6th place if ponies placed in the top 4 have already qualified.

2012 qualifiers will be listed here by the end of February. Shows holding qualifiers in 2011 were:

*Mundole Spring and Summer Shows will run one section of mixed height WHP.

**Angus Show and Biggar Farmers' Club Shows will NOT be running Intermediate sections.
