Blair Castle Ridden Clydesdale Championships
The Ridden Clydesdale championship has been running at Blair since 2006. Clydesdales are becoming increasingly popular as riding horses, proving their versatility and good nature. The series is open to registered Clydesdales and those eligible for registration, and is judged along the same lines as a ridden hunter class.
The top two horses in each qualifying class will qualify for the Blair finals, with qualification passing down the line to 4th place if the top two have already qualified.
2012 qualifiers will be shown here by the end of February. Shows hosting qualifiers in 2011 were:
* The Scottish Grass Sickness Show will run a mixed heavy horse class, with the qualifying cards being awarded to the two highest placed Clydesdales.
