Created during the 1950s when the River
Tummel was dammed for Hydro-electric purposes. An underwater viewing
chamber allows visitors to watch the fascinating sight of salmon
negotiating the specially constructed ladder which bypasses the
dam, allowing fish to enter the man-made Loch Faskally.

Scone was taken from here to Westminster Abbey by Edward 1. The
present palace has unique collections of furniture, china, needlework,
clocks and ivories. Notable grounds, include Moot Hill (crowning
place of Scottish Kings), pinetum, adventure playground and Highland
